A mobile version of the popular free-to-play RPG POE Currency was announced this weekend at Auckland. Grinding Gear creator Chris Wilson told GameSpot that he hopes to launch Path of Exile mobile, but not before the firm can answer the important questions. The studio has made a piece of this game aimed toward what hardcore fans want to see, but remains to be seen -- where it goes from there -- if Grinding Gear decides to continue the job.

"It is looking great, so I'm expecting a release. [But] there's questions. Does this possess the Path of Exile two content? We can do this. I can press on a button and it's running on it. So it is an issue of what exactly do we would like to place it as. Does it have its own narrative. We have not decided this kind of stuff yet."

Path of Exile Mobile was declared during the ExileCon keynote using a ridiculous, tongue-in-cheek trailer poking fun at some of the popular industry trends around mobile games. Path of Exile Mobile won't have any components, and it's being developed in-house as opposed to at another studio. In the wake of last year's statement for Diablo Immortal, it was clear the mobile gaming arena was ripe for a quality ARPG release, and Grinding Gear Games has just swept into announce Cheap POE orbs Mobile. The name has been developed in-house, and the developers say this mobile version will buck the platform's"bullshit tendencies," that plays into Blizzard's snafu this past year. Amazingly Grinding Gear Games is very aware of mobile gaming's drawbacks, and thus has gone out of its way to release a trailer that says the company is focusing its efforts on producing a good game that avoids the evil garbage cellular games are famous for.
