Songs of My Life (11th Apr 08 at 11:51pm) teh Sammie-chan's first postie!!!
Magick Chaotica sighed softly as she pulled out her guitar, looking around the tavern. It was still another 30 minutes before the black-haired girl was scheduled to play, but no one seemed to be coming in. There were a few scattered among the tables and bars, too drunk or busy talking with friends to really notice her. It was a job though, just another night in a tavern singing to people who didn't even know their own names half the time, but sang and clapped to the songs anyways. People who would say her voice was pretty and that she was pretty but would look away the moment she said something intelligent to them. She had been told that was what her life of fame would be like. Her songs were well-written and her voice was one of the best, but she herself meant nothing to the people who heard her music, and she hated that most of all. But then someone else would beg her to play for them, and she would do it because the spotlight was there again. In her family she had been the youngest and the least noticed most of the time, and she had hated it. She plucked a couple of strings, making sure her instrument of trade was tuned properly so she could play without interruption. She looked up at the clock and realized it was almost time to play. She never wasted time with lengthy introductions, but got underway with the first song of the night... "They say that the heart heals quickly A “clean break” is the best Then how come I’m still bleeding here? How come breathing has to be a test?" It wasn't her normal melancholy song, or at least it wasn't as hard core as usual, but it was a favorite of hers. The tune was simple yet intricate in every way; versatile, just like her. "All these empty pages in my diary And all these hollow voices that are haunting me They remind me of how every thing should be Like my memories…" Her diary was anything but empty though... Everything went down in there. She continued on with her song, watching the crowd for any reaction and only got a few interested glances that faded quickly. "All these empty pages in my diary And all these pretty trinkets that he gave to me They hold all of my memories… Of him and me…. Memories" She finished with a flourish and was surprised that only two or three clapped for her. Normally she would have the room clapping by now. She sighed again. ~~(I will post to this later)~~ Darkmage walked in as the black hair girl was in the middle of the song, walked close to the stage sat down on the table. As she finished up he clapped his hands. "My, my. That was beautiful, you have a beautiful voice. May I buy you a drink?" He put two fingers up to the bar keep. He made 2 drinks, on the house, as Darkmage knows the owner. He took the drink from the bar keep, and gave one to the black haired lady. "What is your name? Mine is Darkmage."

Magick raised an eyebrow. "Thank you, sir, that's very kind of you, but I'm much too young to drink, and besides my father is a drunk and I have no wish to be such as him," she said with a smile, looking down at the glass. She set it down on the bar and smiled at the barkeep sweetly. "I'll just have a water, please." She then turned back to Darkmage. "As for my singing being beautiful, it doesn't seem that many other people thought so," she looked around the room with a soft look of amusement in her eyes. To her, it was a first that not so many people had clapped, but it was something she would beware of in the future and something that didn't disappoint her so much as one would think. "I am Magick, it is very nice to meet you, Darkmage. What brings you to Alexandria?"

"I'm sorry, I did not know." He looked around the room. "Yeh it does seem people don't pay attention to a beautiful voice." He sat there whilst She asked him why he came to Alexandria. "Well I am on a mission......" He looks around. "Come here with me." He took her hand and went into the back stage. "Now what I am about to tell you is very classified information. Some guys plan on kidnapping the new princess just before she is elected Queen. Now All I know is that I have to wait for a signal, and once that signal is said. I have to get the princess in a very safe place."

Magick nodded thoughtfully. "Well good luck then, I'm no warrior myself, I can barely use the sword I carry with me, but there is magic you can use to disguise her and keep her protected while you're moving her," she said, pulling a large volume out of her bag. She flipped through many pages while she looked for one she knew well. "Ah, yes, the See-Me-Not spell... The person that the spell is being casted on transforms into the object, person or animal on the caster's mind. It's a complicated spell for beginners, but if you know any experienced casters, then this is the best spell to use, and it's quick enough... There are a few invisibility spells as well, but they're even more complicated and take much longer to cast. Even I would need at least 12 hours to cast a spell that would last long enough to act as a protection spell... and even then it would need to be casted on a cloak or something else to cover the person effectively... Oh my, I'm babbling again, aren't I?" She smiled sheepishly. "The See-Me-Not spell lasts approximately 24 hours, unless discharged by the caster or put under certain conditions that would change the person back to their normal form..." she added quickly with a blush. She was a very talented mage herself, and this was a spell she had used many at times for quick escapes from relatives, family members, and annoying fans. "It's easy even for a beginner."

Magick stared at him for a moment. She wasn't used to meeting too many people that knew magic of this type. Most just knew offensive and defensive spells such as fire or cure, but she had a feeling he was different. "It's a very useful spell, one of my favorites. I used it quite a bit back home when I wanted to get away for any amount of time," she replied with a beautifully bright smile. "I assume you are a magic user as well? I haven't met very many in the past couple towns I've been in. I was starting to assume that they all went into hiding or something! How long have you been using magic?"
